Really impressed by the quality of the engraving and wood board. I've ordered wood engraved items from other sellers and the etching was not good or the depth of the engraving was shallow (if that makes sense).

The idea I had behind this keepsake box was incorporate the 1 year Anniversary gift tradition being paper; I came up with 2 connections. The first connection being that the box is wood and paper comes from wood. The 2nd connection is that my gift would be for my wife storing all of the love letters I have given her throughout the years.

I looked for a shop who would use a solid wood that is known for being long lasting. Walnut is known for being resistant to warping and decay. The quality of the engraving and the hardware were both 2 other contributing factors.
